Toward Sustainability

As stewards of the built environment, we understand our unique role, and our attendant responsibility, to guide the design and planning process in a manner that respects our natural resources.

We believe that the fundamental means to deliver genuinely sustainable communities lies in the permanence of the construction methods used, the conservation of water and energy resources, the use of renewable materials, and the diversion of waste.

To this end, Larimer Design is committed to designing environmentally responsible buildings, neighborhoods, and communities. We practice and implement sustainable principles by:

  • Promoting sustainable buildings and communities through project design

  • Creating an office environment that supports continuing education for staff as they pursue their credentials as LEED Accredited Professionals

  • Implementing a “Green” operations plan

  • Partnering with “Green” oriented consultants and operational support firms
